Forward a landline or business line

Your landline can stay with its current provider while Hello answers forwarded calls. Forward calls to your Hello number. Your provider controls the forwarding and any charges.

Set up forwarding

1. In Hello, go to Settings, then Phone.
2. Choose Forward missed calls (recommended) or Forward all calls.
3. Open your provider's portal or app, or call their support team.
4. Ask for "call forwarding, all calls" or "call forwarding on busy and no answer".
5. Give them your Hello number as the destination.

The codes shown in Hello are for mobiles. For a landline, use your provider's instructions.

What to ask your provider

• How many calls can my number forward at once? Some business plans allow only one or two.
• Can you pass through the original caller's number? If they send your business number instead, Hello can't tell callers apart or call them back.
• How many seconds does it ring before forwarding on no answer?

Test before relying on it

1. Call your landline from another phone.
2. If you chose missed-call forwarding, leave it unanswered.
3. Check that Hello answers.
4. Have two people call together to check more than one call forwards.

Keep your forwarding landline out of Hello's phone tree. Transfers should go to a person's mobile or direct line, not back to the number that forwards to Hello.
