Your four channels: phone, chat, voice and email

Every Hello plan includes all four. They share one brain: the same business details and the same approved knowledge, so customers get the same answer however they reach you.

Phone

Your local Hello number answers 24/7 in a natural Kiwi voice. Forward your existing number to it, use it as a new line, or move your number to Hello. See Keep your number.

Website chat

A chat bubble on your website, answered instantly.

  1. In Hello, go to Settings > Channels > Website chat.
  2. Copy the one line of code.
  3. Paste it just before the closing </body> tag on your website, or send it to your web person. Most website builders (WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, Shopify) have a "custom code" or "footer scripts" setting for this.
  4. Use Preview to check it.

The chat also appears on your support page. Turn it off any time with the switch.

Talk in browser

Customers tap Talk now on your support page or website chat and talk to your front desk through their phone or computer. No call, no number, no app. They'll be asked to allow the microphone the first time.

It uses the same voice and rules as your phone line. Leadica sets it up when your account is created; it shows as Ready in Settings > Channels.

Email

You get your own address, for example yourbusiness@ask.leadica.io.

  • Customers email it and Hello replies within a minute, from your approved knowledge.
  • Anything it can't answer, plus bookings, quotes and complaints, comes straight to you with the customer's details. Reply to that email to answer them.
  • Change the first part of the address in Settings > Channels > Email.
  • Tip: forward your info@ address to it, or put it on your contact page.

Every email reply says it was answered by your AI assistant.

What Hello will and won't say

  • It only uses what you've approved: your website, your setup answers, and knowledge you've checked in Settings > Knowledge.
  • It answers only from knowledge you've approved, so it won't guess prices, availability or promises. If it doesn't know, it takes the customer's details and passes them to you.
  • It never asks for card or bank details.

Where conversations go

Every call, chat and email shows in Calls with a summary, and in your monthly review. When a customer needs you, you get an email straight away.

Common questions

Does each channel cost extra? No. Every channel is included on every plan.

Can I turn a channel off? Yes. Website chat and email each have a switch in Settings > Channels. To stop phone calls reaching Hello, turn off forwarding.

Can I use my own email domain? Yes, on fuller setups. Ask us about sending from your own address, for example frontdesk@hello.yourbusiness.co.nz.

How many chats or emails can it handle? Many at once. Your plan's fair-use limit counts calls, chats and emails together.
