Forward from a mobile

You can keep your mobile number and send calls to your Hello number. The same codes work on Spark, One NZ and 2degrees. Your mobile provider may charge for forwarded calls, so check your plan.

Set up forwarding

1. In Hello, go to Settings, then Phone. During onboarding, use the Your Hello number step.
2. Choose Forward missed calls (recommended) or Forward all calls.
3. Copy the code shown for your choice.
4. Open the dialler on the mobile whose calls you want to forward.
5. Enter the code and press call. Wait for the confirmation message.

For missed calls, the code is **004* then your Hello number then #. This covers calls you don't answer, are busy on or can't take.

For all calls, use **21* then your Hello number then #.

For example, if your Hello number were 09 300 1234, the codes would be **004*093001234# and **21*093001234#. Use the code from the app, not this example.

To turn forwarding off, dial ##002#.

Check it works

1. Call your mobile from another phone.
2. For missed-call forwarding, leave it unanswered.
3. Check that Hello answers.

If your provider rejects the code, ask them to turn on call forwarding for your account.

Don't use this mobile as a phone tree contact. Use another mobile or direct line to avoid a loop.
