Going live checklist

Check your answers and choose how customers will reach Hello.

Going live means making sure customers reach the right front desk with the right information. Test both Hello itself and the route customers will use.

Check before sending calls

  1. Review your business details, hours, common answers and callback expectations in Onboarding.
  2. Call your Hello number and check the answers.
  3. Test any transfers to your people.
  4. Check the result in Calls.

Do not put your forwarded main number in the phone tree. Transfers to it would come straight back to Hello.

Choose your customer route

Before a first call is recorded, Home can show Send your calls to Hello:

  1. Choose Forward my number, Use the new number or Port my number.
  2. For forwarding, select your provider and follow the instructions. Choose all calls or calls you cannot answer.
  3. After turning on forwarding with your provider or phone settings, select I've set this up.
  4. Call your usual number from another phone to confirm Hello answers.

Selecting I've set this up records your choice. It does not turn on forwarding with your provider.

For a new number, publish it where customers contact you. Porting takes 6 to 8 weeks. Keep forwarding on and do not cancel your current service.

The live message

Home can show You're live. First call answered after a call is recorded. A direct test call can trigger this, so still check forwarding separately.
